THE TOTE
Since 2015 is the year when the UK catches up with some of its neighbours in introducing a levy on the use of plastic bags, lets rejoice in the prospect of injecting some style into shopping with a sturdy cloth tote.

With a pocket on the inside for your purse and phone, and a larger pocket on the outside, this is not my simplest make, but its worth the effort to make what would be a perfect gift this christmas.
I have used an outdoor fabric - a tough cotton/poly mix that is stain and mould resisitant and water-repellent - perfect for a hardworking shopping bag.
