King Henry's Walk Garden Winter Fair

King Henry's Walk is an unprepossessing street not far from here, but it runs along the route of a path that is marked on a map of the area from 1735. Henry VIII was thought to have a hunting lodge near here and that is what the name alludes to. King Henry's Walk Garden is an innovative community garden where I have a tiny plot to (rather unsuccessfully) grow a few vegetables. We're having a Winter Fair next weekend, when we are planning to roast chestnuts in an old wheelbarrow. I've made some sweet hessian drawstring bags to sell them in.

They're made from recycled coffee bean sacks that I got from a roastery in Brick Lane!
