NATURE, NATURALLY

As the end of October draws in and thoughts turn a little melancholy, I am continually reminded that, thanks to my dog (who demands a daily walk) and my handy little camera-phone, one can always lift flagging spirits with a bit of nature-appreciation. Pattern obsession drew me to the massive beech trees in my local park when moist autumnal air accentuated the camouflage colours, while a corner of my tiny organic allotment defies the season and is still rampant with growth and colour. Meanwhile, the leaves are falling fast but, despite it all, the sun keeps shining (and if it isn't there's always a rainbow or two). Corny, but true!
